All of my waterfowl are free range and live in our gorgeous large garden / meadow.
I started out by just wanting two ducks as pets and ended up with a growing family of ducks and geese - all within a short space of time - having had experience with keeping and breeding waterfowl in the past it kind of grew like topsy and now I am once again a breeder / supplier.
My Embden breeding pair is from unrelated stock and they are both good natured and I find it easy to handle them (the following is my opinion only, not that of experts) they only seem to get aggressive when nesting or if strangers get too close for comfort.
My breeding pair of Toulouse geese are also unrelated and have wonderful placid natures again as long as they are not nesting or disturbed by strangers without me close by.
The breeds I currently have are as below but I may be expanding the variety of breeds available in the near future.
Breeds: Silver Appleyards, Indian Runners, Cayugas, Embden Geese and Toulouse Geese
