How does it work?
Plug the PowerSafer into the mains, and your TV into the PowerSafer. When you put your TV into stand-by mode there is a detectable drop in power. 10 seconds after PowerSafer detects this drop in power, it cuts the electricity supply to the TV. While in this off mode, PowerSafer itself consumes less than 0.3 Watts of electricity.
To turn the TV on again, use your remote and the PowerSafer automatically switches on (through its own infra red sensor), sending power to your TV. You may have to press the button on your remote twice - once to wake up PowerSafer sending power to the television, and once to control the television which will still be in standby mode.
